Salò is preparing to welcome Thursday, June 8 at 9 p.m. the Vokalensemble Memmingen, a Bavarian choir that will perform in the Sala dei Provveditori (Palazzo della Magnifica Patria). This is the 19th time the choir has visited Salò, where it has established a relationship of friendship and cultural exchange with the local San Carlo Borromeo choir.
This is a mixed choir of young voices, founded 20 years ago by Heidi Zapf, who is also its director. The choir has acquired an excellent reputation with traditional and contemporary songs, ranging from sacred to secular repertoire, from classical to pop.
The concert program includes German love songs, rock and pop classics and a journey into the world of popular musicals. “Let us entertain you” – this is the motto of the evening. You will be able to listen to music that is emotional and reflective, but also witty and lively.
Admission to the concert is free. This is an opportunity to appreciate the beauty of choral music and to get closer to German culture, in an atmosphere of celebration and sharing.
